About PitchSide Logic

Where football history meets data.

What is this?

PitchSide Logic is a statistics database covering professional football. We track goals, assists, yellow and red cards, substitutions and appearances across hundreds of seasons and thousands of matches. And because following your club increasingly means following it around Europe, we also build practical away-day travel guides for the cities that host those fixtures.

Where does the data come from?

Match data is sourced from publicly available football data platforms. All factual data (player names, dates, scores, events) is cross-referenced and aggregated to build a consistent long-term database.

How far back does it go?

The database currently covers multiple decades of Dutch top-flight football, with detailed player action data (goals, cards, substitutions) going back to the early 2000s and continuing to grow with each new season.

Away-day travel guides

When a European draw sends your club to an unfamiliar city, the travel planner pulls together direct and one-stop flights, how to reach the ground, supporters' pubs, typical prices and the local transport you'll need. Each host city also has its own browsable guide, written for away fans travelling on a budget over a weekend.

Who built this?

PitchSide Logic is a personal project built and maintained by a football enthusiast. It started as a private data-crunching exercise and grew into a full statistics platform. If you spot an error or have a suggestion, feel free to get in touch.
